Available Positions

The Gunnison County Public Works Department is now accepting applications for a full time Mechanic position in Gunnison, Colorado. The opening is a 40 hour per week position with full benefits. Duties will include the repair and maintenance of all units in the fleet including pickups, trucks, construction equipment, road maintenance and snow removal equipment. Applicants must have experience working on all types of gas and diesel engines and heavy equipment. Applicant is required to have own tools and a valid Colorado Driver’s License, Class B CDL preferred. The applicant must be able to obtain a Class B CDL and health card within 6 months of hire date.
