Young At Heart

You At Heart is an organization that provides a great social opportunity along with a delicious hot meal every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon. If you are unable to leave your home to attend the lunches due to illness or disability you may order the same hot meal to be delivered to your home by a friendly volunteer. Boomers & Beyond

Check out Gunnison's first dedicated hangout for folks age 50+, now in the "W Mountain Room" of the Community Center located at 200 East Spencer (same location that Young At Heart meets). Volunteers will welcome you with a cup of coffee and conversation Monday thru Friday from 10:00AM until 4:00PM (closed Saturday & Sunday). Western State Colorado University

Western State Colorado University offers several opportunities for continues learning. The current schedule for the Extended Studies program is available online. Seniors, ages 62 and older, can register for non-credit classes at ½ price. If you would like to be added to the mailing list you can contact the Extended Studies office at (970) 943-2885 and provide your contact information.

Gunnison County Library District

The Gunnison County Library District (with locations in Gunnison and Crested Butte) has a wide selction of large print books and books on tape or CD. They also have computers available for public use. For contact information visit their website.
