The interactive map site works easiest with Internet Explorer. The measure tool does not work in Firefox, unless one uses the IE Tab extension. Users are encouraged to use the contact information below to request changes or report problems.

Zooming to a LAT/LONG. Its possible to zoom to a particular latitude and longitude by first converting your desired latitude/longitude to decimal degrees. To convert from degree minutes seconds (ie., 38° 32’ 43”) to decimal degrees (38.54527°) add the degrees plus the minutes divided by 60 plus the seconds divided by 3600 (38 + 32/60 + 43/3600). Next put the resulting coordinates into the end of the web site address in the URL box using the format below:
- http://gis.gunnisoncounty.org/stable/mainpage.asp (web address)
- PLUS: ?xstrt=-106.9264&ystrt=38.5452 (lat/long zoom command)
- EQUALS: http://gis.gunnisoncounty.org/stable/mainpage.asp?xstrt=-106.9264&ystrt=38.5452
* Don't forget the minus sign in front of longitude since Gunnison is west of the prime meridian.
