Deputy Sheriff I
The Gunnison County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for the half-time position of Deputy Sheriff I, in the Patrol Division. Minimum requirements: 21 years of age, valid Colorado driver’s license, no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions. Candidate must be able to perform job duties requiring good physical conditioning, must possess basic computer skills, and have strong oral, reading and written English communication skills. Starting entry level rate is $19.69 per hour, with a possible 5% increase at the 6 month mark of a one year probationary period. Also included is a half-time employee benefit package.

Administrative Assistant III
The Gunnison County Colorado State University Extension office, www.gunnison.colostate.edu, has an immediate opening for a full time Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will typically work 8-5, Monday through Friday, with some overtime expected. The successful applicant will be expected to work well with the public and have high level secretarial, administrative support, bookkeeping, oral, written, and web communication skills. Applicants must be proficient in general office practices. Candidates must possess a strong office computer skill set (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and Dreamweaver), be organized, detail oriented and professional.
