County Offices Closed - July 3rd/4th (Independence Day)

The Fourth of July, or Independence Day, was made a U.S. federal holiday in 1941 but it has a long history behind it, the main part being the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This declaration was the beginning of the American Independence and is commonly celebrated with barbecues and fireworks.
