Protect You & Your Family from Animal-borne Diseases this Season
With the warmer weather finally here, Gunnison County Health & Human Services wants to remind you to protect yourself, family and pets from the animal-borne diseases found in our area and state: West Nile Virus, Colorado Tick Fever, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Rabies, Hantaviruses, Plague and Tularemia.
To learn more about each of these diseases, their symptoms and how to best avoid them please read through the Press Release PDF. The flyers are helpful reminders about the preventive measures you and your family should take when enjoying the outdoors this spring and summer.

Protéjase y Proteja a Su Familia de las Enfermedades Transmitidas por los Animales esta Temporada
Con el clima más cáliente finalmente aquí, los Servicios Humanos y de Salud del Condado de Gunnison quieren recordarle que se proteja a sí mismo, a su familia y a sus mascotas de las enfermedades transmitidas por animales que se encuentran en nuestra área y estado: el virus del Nilo Occidental, la fiebre por garrapatas de Colorado, la fiebre maculosa de las Montañas Rocosas, Rabia, Hantavirus, Peste y Tularemia.
