Mission
The mission of Juvenile Services Department is to provide collaboration and a culturally competent continuum of prevention services to youth and families to they can be empowered to lead, connected to trusted adults and thrive in our community.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of Juvenile Services Department is to provide information, prevention and intervention services to youth and their families so they can become healthy, responsible, and productively involved in their communities.
Juvenile Services provides a continuum of services from prevention, early intervention, and intervention.
Services
- Youth intervention services, such as diversion, mentoring, and more.
- Family Advocacy Support Team (FAST) such as, individual support teams, community resources, and more.
- Gunnison County Substance Abuse Prevention Program GCSAPP) a community coalition that provides substances use prevention and mental health promotion to youth and families.
- Choice Pass a healthy choice program for 6th-12th grade youth.
- Restorative Practices
- Parent Education
- GRASP
- Consortium that works on substance use disorder and opioid use disorder through prevention, treatment, and recovery thought out the lifespan.

Welcome to Youth Wellness!
What we do:
Crested Butte Youth Wellness and Gunnison Youth Wellness were created by a group of teens who care for the health and well-being of our peers. We are advocating to help teens by offering up to four, FREE, confidential counseling sessions with a trained mental health professional for youth 12 and older.
Get help today with stress, anxiety, addiction, relationships, family conflicts, stress from the coronavirus, emotional abuse, depression, suicide, school, or anything else that is affecting your mental wellness.
