The Gunnison County Comprehensive Safety Action Plan aims to improve traffic safety outcomes on all roads in Gunnison County. In addition to making countywide recommendations, the CSAP provides more detailed analysis and recommendations for Colorado State Highway 135 (CO 135) between US Highway 50 in the City of Gunnison and Elk Avenue in Crested Butte. The CSAP will serve as a guide for infrastructure investment countywide and on the CO 135 corridor and as a foundation for pursuing grant funding for implementing roadway improvements to address location-specific and systemic safety issues.
