In 2018, Gunnison County received the 2018 Certificate of Excellence in Performance Management (see news release) from the International City/County Management Association as a result of Gunnison County's commitment to data-driven performance management.
Managing for Results (MFR) Managing for Results (MFR) is a complete management and leadership strategy that, when fully implemented, brings together people, resources, and results for customers. MFR integrates key elements from planning, employee performance, budgeting, data collection, reporting, evaluating, and decision-making in a way that each stage influences the desired result. In 2008, the County began implementing MFR with the County's Strategic Plan, which established priorities and strategic results.
