Seasonal Flu Information

Why is the flu shot important? When the majority of the population receives the flu shot, it creates a buffer between the virus and the most vulnerable populations, like children and the elderly. Getting the flu shot may not stop you from contracting the virus, but you may not experience the more severe symptoms that require hospitalization or cause death.

We recommend that everyone aged 6 months and older receive the flu shot annually. If your child is between 6 months and 18 years and has not gotten the flu shot yet, please call Health & Human Services at (970) 641-3244 to ask questions or to schedule an appointment at our clinic.

Cost

$25.00 fee for Vaccinations

Health & Human Services will bill your insurance, so remember to bring your insurance cards. Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and most private insurances are accepted. If you do not have health insurance, please bring payment of $25.00 for each uninsured person in your family. We will not deny anyone a flu vaccine due to an inability to pay. We accept cash, check, or card.

For more information, please call Health and Human Services at (970) 641-3244 or follow us on Facebook.
