Seasonal Flu Information

2019 to 2020 Flu Season!

We recommend everyone from age 6 months on to get the flu shot every year. If your child is between 6 months and 18 years and has not gotten the flu shot yet give us a call! We can be reached at (970) 641-3244 for information on schedule and walk-in availability. Our immunization clinics are held on Mondays between 8:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.

Why is the flu shot important? When the majority of the population receives the flu shot, it creates a buffer between the virus and the most vulnerable populations like children and the elderly. Getting the flu shot my not stop you from contracting the virus, but you may not experience the more severe symptoms that require hospitalization or cause death.

So, come see us at the 2019 Health and Human Services Annual Flu Clinic!

Our Annual Flu Clinic will be held on Tuesday, October 22th from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Health and Human Services building, 220 N. Spruce St. in Gunnison (drive-thru & walk-in) and Thursday, October 24th from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Crested Butte Town Hall, 507 Maroon Ave (walk-in only). This event helps us practice for public health emergencies so tell a friend and bring your whole family, kids too!
